Testimonials
My aim with coaching is to make a difference in a players or teams experience.
Here are a few players and parents testimonials who I have coached over the past 5 years.
Josh
Rob’s experience, passion and knowledge of rugby shines through every session he runs. He has the rare quality of being likeable, and approachable in equal measure, allowing him to build an instant rapport with his players, regardless of their age or ability. He instantly put Josh at ease, building his sessions around his specific needs, by concentrating on growing his rugby confidence, whilst cemented his progress with the core pillars of technique, improving skills and setting achievable goals.
As a young full back Josh set himself the pre-season goal of becoming a better all round player, particularly with the ball in hand, which he feels he has accomplished thanks to Rob’s programme and guidance. Kicking has always been something of a dark art to Josh, with real difficultly finding the right kicking technique, from hand or tee. Focused one on one guidance, video analysis and a constant positive can do attitude from Rob has helped Josh immensely. Josh can’t wait to work with Rob again and is entering the next chapter of his fledgling rugby career with renewed excitement and vigour.’

Ted
Ted has attended both group and individual sessions with Rob Cook. From the first ten minutes I could feel his confidence growing thanks to the patient teaching of the fundamentals of dropping a ball on to your foot and striking it. Ted has been looking to add the ball skills necessary to become a better scrum half and be able to slot into the fly half role if needed. Rob took all this on board and through his clever use of filming and demonstrating how to improve his technique. Not a natural goal kicker within a few sessions and tailoring his set up Ted managed to kick 4 out of 5. Rob then puts together a video of the various exercises and gives Ted a work on or demonstrates when his technique is sound or the reason his kick went astray. I asked Ted for his feedback and he said" useful and fun!"

Tom
I've been attending Rob’s kicking coaching now for approximately 3 seasons.
During this time I find the booking process and the clear communication really practical.
My reason for attending was my playing position was not established, but with coaching to kick out of hand and place kicking this added to my skill set.
I find Rob very approachable and understanding of your needs. He soon evaluated my strengths.
The practical side is made enjoyable which gives me confidence.
He gives you his full attention and helps you with the full process, before you kick, method and after the ball is struck.
During the coaching session’s Rob films your kicking and you receive a video with an explanation as to what went well and help for improvement.
My kicking at goal success rate has greatly improved and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this course to rugby players of any age, position and experience.

Louis
Rob Cook has coached my son over the last 3 seasons and I can honestly say that I am delighted. My initial expectations were not high and thought this was “just another session” - but I could not have been more wrong!
The main focus of the sessions are the understanding of the mechanics, technique and mental approach of kicking. Louis is now able practice his technique and breakdown mistakes - which has helped the consistency of his kicking as well as boosted his confidence.
The addition of the personalised video is a great approach which helps to see the improvement and a reminder of the coaching points that were covered.
On another note, Rob is very approachable and flexible and I am very happy to use again to help Louis to reach his full potential.
